On Sunday, 27th September, we welcomed the Kenya Golfing Society (KGS) for its annual Presidents Cup, bringing together a distinguished group of past Club Captains and Chairmen for a day of golf, good company and celebration.
This year’s tournament held a special connection to Limuru. Ken Chege, our HR & Projects Director, is the current President of the Kenya Golfing Society, and as his one-year term comes to an end, he chose to bring the Society to his home club for the occasion.

With an 8:30 AM shotgun start, around 100 golfers took to the course, setting the stage for a competitive but enjoyable day. The KGS community, made up of experienced golf leaders from across the country, enjoyed a day that brought together old friendships, new conversations and plenty of time on the fairways.
The President’s Prize
When the scores were in, Ken Karanja took the KGS President’s Prize, carding an impressive 45 Stableford points.
The prize-giving brought everyone together to celebrate the day and recognise the performances on the course, while also acknowledging the people and partners who helped make the tournament possible.

This year’s Presidents Cup was also an opportunity to support something close to home. The tournament contributed towards the rebuilding of our Clubhouse following the 2024 fire.
For us, having KGS choose Limuru as the venue made the occasion particularly meaningful. The Society’s members have longstanding connections with golf clubs across the country, and their support forms part of the wider community coming together as we rebuild and look towards the future.
A Bell for the Members Pavilion
One of the day’s most memorable gestures came in the form of a bell donated to Limuru Country Club.
The bell will be mounted at our newly completed Members Pavilion, where it will become part of the Club’s landscape and, we hope, a small but enduring piece of its story.
It is the kind of gift that goes beyond the day itself. Long after the tournament is over, the bell will remain at the Pavilion, marking gatherings and celebrations and reminding us of the people who have contributed to the Club’s journey.
Thank You to Our Partners
We are grateful to Kentaste, Plantaze Wine, Zana Leather, Kericho Gold, Alba Yogurt and Imma’s Nuts for supporting the tournament and helping us create a memorable experience for our guests.

We also thank the Kenya Golfing Society for choosing to celebrate its President’s year with us at Limuru.
From the first tee to the final prize, it was a day that brought together golf, leadership, friendship and a shared commitment to the future of our Club.
And with a new bell waiting to ring at the Members Pavilion, we have one more reminder that the best part of building what comes next is doing it together.
